Residents in Tonypandy are benefitting from renewable energy generated by a new solar panel roof installed over the summer. The new roof to a communal building of 13 residents will help reduce energy costs for residents, improve the energy rating of the homes, and reduce our impact on the environment. The project was part funded by the Welsh Government Optimised Retrofit Grant. Director of Operations Emma Stewart said “We’re delighted to see this project completed and for residents to benefit from renewable energy. It’s a great example of our commitment to do our part in the decarbonisation work across the social housing sector in Wales”
