Aelwyd Housing is a charitable housing association, with a Christian ethos, providing affordable rented homes for people in housing need.
We provide excellent homes and services to over 300 residents. Our work is directed and overseen by a voluntary Board of Management, who are actively involved in strategic and policy decisions and responsible for monitoring the performance of the Association.
Our homes are located across South Wales, and many are flats for people aged over 55 years.
Our approach is Kindness First in all areas of customer Service.
This has transformed the way we interact with residents. The Kindness First approach has encouraged staff to move away from standard letters and take an individualised approach to Customer Service. Our resident satisfaction figures also confirm that residents are happy with us as a landlord.
The Association won a Welsh Housing Award for Excellence in Customer Service in 2022. The annual awards showcase the good work that housing associations and local authorities are doing throughout Wales. The judges were impressed by our ‘Kindness First’ approach to how we deliver services, and how we try to focus on the things that matter to residents. We are also consistently the best performing traditional housing association in Wales on Tenant Satisfaction.
