Our Team

Our office team are based at our head office in Morganstown, Cardiff. We also have a Scheme Co-ordinator, and a team of Cleaners who work on site in communities across South Wales.

All Aelwyd Housing staff are easily accessible to residents, but we have roles focused on specific areas of work. 

Sharon Lee – Chief Executive

Sharon joined the Association as Chief Executive in 2020. She has extensive experience of working in housing and the homelessness sectors in Wales and England. She is a postgraduate and started her career as a Housing Assistant at Windsor and Maidenhead Council in 1994. She was the Director of Housing Justice Cymru, a national homelessness charity, prior to joining the Association. She was previously a member of the Senior Leadership Team at Wales and West Housing, and later became Chair of the Board.

Emma Stewart – Director of Operations

Emma joined the Association in September 2025. Emma oversees the operational and strategic delivery of services to residents. She is a business graduate and has worked in social housing since 2005. Emma has extensive experience of working with residents and leaseholders in general needs and retirement housing in England and Wales. Prior to joining the Association she was a senior manager leading on the the management of over 500 leasehold retirement homes at Wales & West Housing.

Clare Cooze – Director of Finance

Clare joined the Association in 2023 as the Director of Finance and has worked in the housing, homelessness, and voluntary sectors for almost 40 years. She is a Chartered Certified Accountant and worked for POBL Group as a Finance Manager before becoming a Business Analyst for the organisation. She volunteers as the Treasurer for V21 Cyfle Cymru, a Cardiff based charity which provides opportunities for people with learning disabilities to realise their potential.

 

 

Operations Team

 

Lucy Clewlow – Community Housing Officer

Lucy Clewlow is the Community Housing Officer and the point of contact for any housing queries. She helps residents sustain their Occupation Contract by obtaining support when they need it, providing advice on managing rent accounts or financial concerns and offering advice to resolve issues. She is also responsible for letting homes to new residents.  She works with a number or organisations and agencies to get the best outcomes for residents. 

Ikenna Enyinna – Property Surveyor

Ikenna joined Aelwyd Housing in January 2025 as a Planned Property Surveyor. His role is to ensure  homes are well maintained for the future. This includes planning and managing a programme of works which includes kitchens, bathrooms, windows, the structure of buildings, and how we ensure our homes are energy efficient and provide affordable warmth for residents. He also works closely with contractors to ensure repairs and scheme improvements are completed to a high standard, and provide the best quality with value for money.

Joan Mumford – Property Services Officer

Joan has worked for Aelwyd Housing for over 40 years. As the Property Sercies Officer she is the first point of contact for day to day repairs and annual servicing. She liaises with contractors and suppliers to ensure residents receive an excellent repairs service.

Antony Chisnall – Property Surveyor

Antony joined the Association in May 2025 and has over 40 years of experience in Compliance and Mechanical & Electrical services. Antony has spent more than 10 years working in social housing & local government housing. Antony’s role ensures homes remain well maintained, compliant and safe for residents. Antony visits residents in their homes and regularly liaises with contractors to ensure the best outcomes for residents.

 

Beth Lewis – Housing Administrator

Beth Lewis works part time as a Housing Administrator on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Beth supports residents by dealing with queries, lettings and the Rubixx Portal. Beth also provides day to day support to the team.  

 

Bethan Wright – Housing Adminstrator

Bethan Wright joined the Association in 2021 and works part-time as a Housing Administrator on Thursdays and Fridays. She helps support the operations team and takes calls from residents. She helps to produce the resident’s newsletter and website and also assists the Chief Executive in supporting our Board . 

 Finance Team

 

Dawn Wigmore – Finance and Income Officer

Dawn joined Aelwyd Housing in 2014 as the Finance and Income Officer. Dawn manages rent and income payments, and Services Charges. She supports residents with any queries about their rent and offers support and advice to help residents with any financial concerns. 

 

Ffion Leftley – Finance Officer

Ffion Leftley works in the Finance team as a Finance Officer.  Ffion’s role involves maintaining the purchase ledger, banking and managing payments to suppliers and contractors. She is a fluent Welsh speaker and works part time. 

Charlotte Smith – Finance Officer

Charlotte Smith works as a Finance Officer working closely with the Director of Finance. She produces the monthly accounts and works on finance administration. She works part time.
